The largest Iranian ski resort is Dizin, which is located in the Alborz mountain range, about 70km North from Tehran capital of this gorgeous country and nearby two other main ski resorts of Iran: Shemshak and Darbandsar. It is 11,811 feet above the sea level.
The resort was created during the sixties, under the reign of Mohammad Reza Shah and rivals that of many European and Rocky Mountain snow areas.
To get to Dizin you have to take Chalus Road heading out of Tehran from the northeast of the city, it’ll take you around an hour and a half to get there.

These days the resort is managed by “Raika”, a company owned by a businessman called Hamidreza Tafteh, this means better service and communications.
This diversified ski resort has got two big and famous hotels, a warm hostel and some chalets. The most popular option is the Dizin Hotel which is right next to the resort. It’s only a 500-meter walk to the room where you can buy your Dizin ski pass. The next option is Gajereh Hotel which is located 3 kilometers from the resort.
There are lots of acceptable restaurants or fast foods inside or in the vicinity of the slope. The facilities include Ski and clothing rental, Ski shops, Ski course, Heli-skiing, 4 gondolas, 3 chairlifts, and 9 surface lifts.
The best season for skiing at Dizin Ski Resort starts from around Dec and lasts until April. So if you are a ski lover, it is highly recommended to visit this fabulous resort runs with a breathtakingly beautiful view of the surrounding mountains.
